Enhancements
- In a continued effort to integrate the Secure Gateway product range into the Fortra’s product portfolio, we have updated the Gateway’s web user interface using new color scheme and icons that give mroe fresh and modern look-and-feel. This rebranding does not affect the existing product functionalities.
- A number of changes have been implemented to improve user experience when logging in to the Gateway. The „Login Failure Warning“ (a page displayed even after one failed login by mistyping a password) and the „Remember me“ check box on the login page are no longer displayed.
IMPORTANT:- The „Browser Auto-Complete Settings“ feature under System > Gateway Settings > User Interface Access Control has been disabled whilst we undergo some security enhancements to the Web UI.
- After a peroid of inactivity on the Gateway’s web UI, your session may expire. If the login page had been open when timed out, the page may be using the old session in the background and your login attempt will fail. You can refresh the page to establish a new session, then enter your login credentials to return to the web UI. Amendments will be implemented in the future releases.
- Hostname has been included in the Backup log, Sophos Updates log and Web Transaction log for simpler identification.
- SMTP alert messages now support TLS.
- An option to enable or disable URL categorization has been added to the web user interface under System > ICAP Settings > URL Database.
- Support for SVG format has been added to the „Which Media Types“ clause as a detectable file type.
- Support for VSDX (newer document format of Microsoft Visio) has been added to the „Which Media Types“ clause as a detectable file type. If you use VSD (older format) in your content rules, the enw format will automatically be added to your media-type selection.
